It’s 1922 and young Millie Dillmount has just moved to New York City in search of a new life. The city is full of intrigue and jazz – a time when women are entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behaviour are changing forever. Energetic flappers, debonair young men and a dragon of a lady will all make for a great evening’s entertainment!

Based on the famous film starring Julie Andrews, this extremely popular and successful musical opened on Broadway in 2002. The production subsequently won six awards including Best Musical. Tours followed both in the US and UK, all receiving great critical acclaim.

The LWMS production will appear at the Royal Spa Centre, Leamington Spa from March 27th to 31st 2012, including a Saturday matinee. The show is directed by Stephen Duckham, the choreographer is Nikki Shurvinton and the musical director is Matt Flint.

This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd on behalf of Music Theatre International of New York.
